I'll be there Tim.
Two tips, get there early there's not much pitting space, and bring some yellow mini pins!
Are you doing both classes again? Do you fancy pitting with me and Jim?

Yeh im gna get there early.Didnt think i was gona be able to make it but sorted work so its buzzin! Yeh pitting with you guys would be cool. Cheers for that.Already glued a new set of pins for the x10 up.Be racing both classes again. Would you say we might need a few new sets? How about spikes?Looking at a report from last year looks like there was lots of polished floor - Getting some new cells finally aswell so that should help..... Jims a good driver aint he!Good to see him with a pred ;D

Yeah Jim's good but don't tell him!
Jim went last week and said pins were much quicker than spikes. I think the floor cleans up well and then pins work well. But I'd take some spikes aswell! ;D

Well, despite my car being a pile of poo for yesterday's event, I have to say that overall I enjoyed the day. It was good to meet some of the people from the board, and others that had heard of the board, but had not signed up to it. BUT my overriding memory from yesterday, was the speed that Tim Wood and Ben Riley got out of their X10's....truly amazing. Tim's driving seemed to be affected by others on the track getting in the way, whilst Ben's driving was fast but not consistent - he seemed to make very many mistakes but the car was very, very fast. Don't know what happened to Tim in the final - his car seemed somewhat slower than it had been all day? My car was not good, the only way I can describe it's performance is by saying that the car "felt heavy". It wouldn't jump, and it wouldn't accelerate quickly either - possibly something to do with the esc going pop just before the final. It's sad to say that my best lap times were posted with a Yoke that I had never driven before, and that I was still "trimming-in" to my transmitter whilst Tom was putting the transponder in! Not only that, it had outdoor (schumacher blue minispikes) tyres on, with hard inserts and about 300mm ride height. Still, it took the jumps well. All in all, a good day out!
