OK on an unlikely chance, is anybody here going to the HRH shootout? www.hotrodhobbies.com/index.htmlIts almost a week event of practice and racing for all offroad RC's Friday to sunday being officially race days, the event entries goes all the way upto 350 . Since i got free time tomorrow and HRH being 10mins away, im gonna go down there to chat and spectate and will bring my Digi Cam with me ;D, I will be keeping a lookout for any preds racing and will do my best to do a little report and pics on it and post it accordingly. This event sure does get the attention of the top names in the Biz and so ill be damned if i miss this. Id like to race but not having my stick radio dictates otherwise "BUMMER". I will however fix that very soon indeed . Are there any requests for something to be covered or have any questions asked before i go? ;D

Sounds cool, Wish i had one of those T-Shirt you were offering back then eh Chris?. There will be numerous championships coming up soon, theres the infamous Socal (1.30mins drive away) and also the famous Pegasus hobbies Invites (30mins away). Right then, shows over. Where do i start? LOL ;D Ive had an eventful weedend to say the least haha. Due to the nanny (to look after the little ones) falling ill i couldnt commit as much time as i would have liked. Very dry hot weather and prolonged exposure even in the shades is enough to make a man fall ill i tell you, actually i stand corrected, some people have gotten sick because of dehydration and some people puking. High Temperature is the enemy here for both man and machine, some cars stopping all of a sudden and the reason being is that their speedo thermaled (shut down due to heat) By the time i get to the track its already in the mid 80's (degrees) and come mid after its peaking at around 105, yes degrees . Imagine sticking yourself in an oven of that temperature and see how you feel after 5-6 hours cuz thats how long i could only hold out for. Gotta give it to these californians, they must have skin like lizards ;D. Anyways, Can any of you lot imagine what it'll be like to have 350 entries? and have 2mins intervals in between. Any body good at maths here to work out how long it would take to complete just one round of qualifying? Ahh yes that would explain the 3 days of qualifying and finals ;D. There are lots of entries for both the Buggy (2wd, thats what they term it here) and trucks. Unfortunately there were only 4 heats of 4wd buggies and more disappointing was that only one X-10 entered this exciting meeting. And yes more disappointing for me as im sure you guys is that by the time i came friday qualifying the dude bailed out - for whatever reasons im not sure, and yes i went round the pits looking for him, forgotten his surname but his first name is shannon maybe if he's sponsored by ttech perhaps they could shed some light on this? There were only Losi the dominant force here, in both 2 & 4wds and not so far behind them is AE in 2wd and BJ4 in the 4wd. The track is about midium size coupled with some amazing jumps, triples and table top, banked corners and little jumps in the mix. Same red Tapers & Losi BK Bars are the tyres to use in this dry blue groove track. It was actually grippy with the heat and soft compound tyres, and it was possble to pull wheelies ;D Pics and a little more detail of the event fo follow, ill try and upload the pics myself but having trouble in the past i may just email them to Chris who im sure would be kind enough to post. ;D ps results of the: A Main # 1 Cavalieri BJ 4X4 Tebo BJ 4X4 Dawson xxx-4 Amezcua xxx-4 Robbers xx-4 Fischer xxx-4 Truhe xxx-4 Gardner xxx-4 Root BJ 4X4 Drake xxx-4............... A - 2 Results: Cavalieri Amezcua Drake Gardner Robbers Fischer Dawson Root Tebo Truhe.... With that fine result, Cavalieri wraps up the 4wd mod shootout, Now its just a matter of going to last final to seal 2nd - 3rd places. as follows. A - 3 Results: Amezcua Tebo Gardner Robbers Root Truhe Dawson Fischer Drake Overall placings after 3 finals: Ryan Cavalieri BJ 4X4 Travis Amezcua xxx-4 Jared Tebo BJ 4X4 Ronnie Gardner xxx-4 Jesse Robbers xx-4 Ryan Dawson xxx-4 Billy Fischer xxx-4 Adam Drake xxx-4 Frank Root BJ 4X4 Mike Truhe xxx-4

Do Ttech even have an american X10 team or have signed on a world class driver on this side of the pond? I feel they are very under represented here.
I feel they could've done very well here, grip was high and nothing to extrodinaire for the X10 to Handle.
Also forgot to add, there were a couple or more driving the new Yoke, looked and handled well.
