Hi new to the forum, am looking at purchasing a ttech streetwise touring have bought 2 at the moment (as one is a rolling chassis). Just looking for opinions of this car. Chris said it is a good car, but spars are hard to find, am looking at buying a third one just to use as spars, all this just to enter a winter series at my local club. Cheers all opinions accepted without prejudice to the sender

Hello & welcome to the forum. As for the streetwise you will find it to be not only a very nice touring car to have but a very capable one too, as you know already spares are hard to get hold of, but it sounds like you're on the right track (getting more than one car & using them as donors. good thinking m8. but if you run into difficulties, just put it down in the wanted area and usually some one will have it in their stock pile of spares. Let us know how it goes for you.

I'd love a Streetwise to add to my collection. A Truck would be ace.

What is the TTech time line with regard to their touring cars? I have seen one where the shocks are upright on the rear and the alloy looks to have orange anodising, i think this was the last spec TTech released, but it was around the time i gave up so not entirely sure.
Did this car have any failing issues with drive train etc and can drivetrain parts/diffs etc be exchanged with X-10 versions should they need it? Last question...Did this TC accept the standard hex wheel or was it TTech specific?
Thanks all Chris

Thanks all Chris *The upright shocks were on the latest versions to archieve a lower CG and touring cars don't need long suspension travel like offroad cars need. *The red shocks are 'budget' plastic shock bodys *the drivetrain can be changed but you'll have to change the WHOLE thing, including diffs and that would cost alot, you're better of with a TC3 or tamiya gear conversion * they used normal hex adapters

My streetwise has finally arrived it has the shocks laid down on the back and it runs really well, one thing is doesn't have is a pinion to spur set i am running a 27t motor (as that is all my club will allow) at the moment it has a 67 spur in it. Any ideas will gratefully recieved, also will have pictures for you soon. If anybody can get hold of chris for me and let him know i need a new login and password to be able to upload pictures, that would be great. ;D ;D ;D

Yes, it looks real nice. I was going to bid on it but it's now out of my price range.
