Hi everyone, im looking to pick up some spares for my dtm and just wondered what the differences are between the dtm and later cars such as the streetwise and T1 etc...i know the shocks are mounted differently on some, but in terms of the moulded tub, gearbox covers, diffs and wishbones/suspension etc, are they pretty much the same? are the streetwise parts made from a different material with it being a cheaper chassis?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Well I don't really know for a fact that this is true but here goes. The main differences were the shocks (alloy vs plastic), main shaft (carbon vs steel?)(this one is a big maybe). shock towers (carbon vs grey molded plastic ). also I think most of the alloy fittings on the T1 were not on the streetwise, not sure. I have a model called "super touring", and from the above mentioned differences only the shock towers were different to the T1. As far as the material of the arms & chassis I don't remember any differences between the models, unlike different buggy models. This is all from memory, and as you know (or will know) that is something not to be trusted, but there are a few guys on this forum (Cooper & Northy come to mind) that have most if not all of these models at home, maybe they would like to enlighten us.

thanks for your reply, ive had a look at the magazine reviews for each model and I realise the Super Touring and T1 have saddle pack set-ups, but apart from that and the shock towers/mounting plates for the body, from what I can see, most of the other parts in the suspension look the same.

I know little about the TC's and the changed stuff, what I do know has been said already. Best thing you can do (apart from asking us) is read the vintage pred articles on the main page.
