check castor as this has a huge impact, as does the spacer between the front upright and upper wishbone, take it out!!!!!!! shock oil will help but if your carpet grips up like the one i race on at times this will be your best bet, also i use streched 2wd on standard rims pins not spikes sometimes trimming 2 rows of inside and out

I used the following:- 35wt oil in the front with the valve 55wt oil in the rear yellow schumacher minispins on the rear yellow schumacher minispikes (2wd) on the front anti-roll bars all round, mounted on the "short" hole (the one closest to the car) ran the car with about 20mm ground clearance BUT I ran cut down front wheels with 2wd minispikes on them....it was a bit under-steery at slow speeds, but was fine at high speed. (I think that is more of a factor of the carpet though rather than the setup). for me...it's....to muuuuuch sooooooooft...... i use oil 70 asso on front no valve and 80 rear with antiroll bar rear

i now run 50wt in the front and 55 in the back....I have changed the springs too, but cannot remember which I use now.
the grip characteristics of the carpet we use has changed dramatically over the summer, and it now has much more grip, which is weird, as it has been stored rolled up in an old coal shed since March!
Anyway, all I know is the setup that I used to good effect last year didn't work for me this year!
