yeah a whole section but no close ups and no words.... there are pictures....and close-ups..... you don't need descriptions, as a picture paints 1000 words, apparently!

well if you cant suss out how to do it from the pictures then your not talented enough to do it..sorry. d**n, now I have to proof I am !!! But i'm planning to do it different, easyer, only change gears, not the whole diff... Also going to try it with Tamiya evo 3 Gears (still need diff balls for this test) the 'making' isn't the big problem, it's the size of the pieces. ;D You'll see, this 19year old kid will do the job !

the tamiya EVO III gears are a nearly 'direct fit' I'll keep you tuned, I need an inner ball bearing and balls first before I continue testing. UPDATE: another modification in my head, duall ball bearing support for the pinion! I'm almost finished with everything...

Hi guys, Sorry never got a chance to report back after last weekend until now. Overall the result wasn't great. I qualified 3rd in the G main, and finished about 7th after terrible understeer in the final (tire change due to it raining). The bad result was really due to it being my first 4wd race for about 8 months (and I've only done one 2wd). Also Southport is not an easy track to make your comeback on, as its a very technical track (but also a very good one) ;D It was a good meeting however because I learnt alot about the car, and improving its setup (even after driving a Pred for about 7 years). For this I have to thank Andy Fox aswell, as because he's not doing the Nationals this year he's turned into mine and Jim's "Pit bitch", and he realy studies the car on the track to see what its doing. Anyway, onto setups. Personnally I feel most people run the rear end of their Preds too hard, and they complain that the back end doesn't absorb bumps "because its a Pred". For this reason I've always run the rear end of my car softer than most. I can't remember the last time I had Purple springs on it, I always use Coppers. Start setup: Front : (This is pretty standard for use almost everywhere) 1 hole/grove pistons 30wt oil Yellow Springs Max Castor Front hole on rocker for push rod Rear: 2 hole/groove pistons 50wt oil Copper Springs and Pre Spring Middle hole on rocker Bottom hole on rear upright I changed the rear a couple of times to get it to absorbe the bumps and ended up at this: 1 hole/groove pistons 35wt oil Copper Springs and Pre Spring Middle hole on rocker Bottom hole on rear upright I've never heard of anyone using 1 hole/groove pistons in the rear, but Andy thought the rear was "crashing through" and the chassis actually slapping the ground on the really bit bumps. So this setup gave the same static damping (for the little bumps), and more pack (for the big bumps). And the car really was better. I saw three Preds at Soutport (one ended up in the B) and mine looked the best handling out of the three, just a pity about my thumbs There you go guys.

Thanks for all that G!
Some things take time to get used to and the pred is not the best of cars when its not dialled properly but is when it is. Where/when is the next national btw.
