eventhough regulars on this board new way before everybody else..... the rest of the world has now been told the same... Dear TTech Team The X10 has been a long time coming, but we are finally almost ready to ship. We thank you for your patience and enthusiasm, which has been quite overwhelming - thank you. What was the Problem ... The manufacturing process was held up by one of the specialist processes, which is carried out by an outside supplier. Despite enormous pressure from TTech this supplier has continually let us down over the last few months. Finally, we had to decide to cut our losses with this specialist manufacturer and look for another from scratch. This was something we wanted to avoid, but could not afford to wait any longer in the hope that this supplier might finally deliver. From a new shortlist, we wheedled out unresponsive companies and narrowed our search to four possible. I visited each factory in person and met the managers and engineers, to begin the process of making sure that they could meet our quality, price and timescale demands. I am pleased to report that two of the new specialist suppliers are excellent and have now almost completed the manufacturing of those crucial parts which must be done outside the TTech Factory. Current Position and Timescale ... The remaining parts will be at the TTech factory by the end of next week. Some parts will need surface finishes added and the complete finished production kit will be checked through and any unexpected imperfections ironed out. We will also finish making up the Kit Step Bags, and finally despatch to you very soon. I can confirm that track testing has continued at our private facility in Kent, and is proving the X10 to be devastating, in its performance and reliability - I can see no way out for the opposition ! Please accept our sincere apologies for the production delay, and thank you once again for your patience. I look forward to watching your X10 leave on the truck on its way to you, and even more than that, to seeing you at the track. Kindest regards Richard Weatherley TTech Racing

Such a big let down if you ask me, many delays, many excuses, very little to show for. I think Ttech scored an own goal here. Did very little to take advantage of the 4wd early on during the year, with a good showing and success of the 4wd at the Worlds (Italy) those manufacturers i think have sealed some good business for the next two years at least especially those cars that made it into the A with the exception of Kyosho who made it into the B finals with relatively very new cars and with the current team. With a no show at the Worlds for TTech who first sported this transmission design (in the modern world of rc) has no one but to blame but themselves. Very bad management if you ask me!!
I can understand there may be restrictions that i or anyone could be aware of but the variations are not so different from busineses and this is no exception.

I can agree with you on that. The ideal place to showcase the X10 was at the worlds. even if only they have the one car in existence at the moment.
However, the problem wasn't the car or lack of desire to be there, the problem was getting a driver capable of putting the car in the "A".
With Neil Cragg and Mark Pavidis (to name just two) ex T.tech drivers being siged up in contracts with big teams, it was thought that there was nobody good enough to show the car off to its full potential.
that is why the car was not racing at the euros or the worlds. but ontop of the delays etc., the lack of racing it hasn't done t.tech any favours.
But, and its becoming an ever increasing but, when the car is released it will be very very good. And with decent backing and continued development on behalf of T.Tech, it should be national champion in 2006, and then world champion in 2007.
As long as they can get a good national driver and a very good international one too. One that used to run Predators would be good....does anybody know of such a UK driver? ;D
Who knows even the-pred.co.uk might be able to provide T.tech with favourable feedback and development. We already have one Team Driver on our members list...

Me? ;D
Seriously, With the widening choice of 4wd cars now available and with people wanting more value for money its hard to see if whether TTech can really take off with their X10. As i jump from forum to forum the one thing that always gets brought out is the cost and how one finds it hard to justify $600 for a kit and also how getting parts would proove rather difficult, those are really key issues that could make or break a racing car. Who knows this time round. As for Mark pavidis, ive lost count on the amount of manufacturers he has raced for, durango + Jconcepts + Associated and now Kyosho which was the first rc cars he got sponsored for racing.

Pavidis races for whoever pays him the most! Thats how it works out there... Craggy was asked if he wanted to drive an X10 a while ago, and said, er... no. Shame, because he was unbeatable with it, and I'm sure he still thinks is a good car (possibly the best he's driven)? Perhaps, said the little birdy, wink wink.

Well, I got a mail from T.Tech today so I guess I'll update a information. The first shipment will be in early September. Still delaying but don't feel any surprises or a let down anymore. At least, Mr. Weatherley told me that my car will be in the first shipment

Ive given up all hope on waiting, i bet you the next excuse for the delay would be the postal services van which collected the cars from their warehoused crashed into a lake? lol... ;D

Well, as you may have guessed, I like t.tech a lot. however, even my patience is being stretched a little now, as the bits i bought off their on-line shop have still not arrived or been acknowledged (3 weeks now) and the trade account that I requested and agreed terms with nearly 3 months ago still hasn't been setup, or at least I haven't received the necessary forms!
And yet, I am still telling people to buy the new X10 - At least it will be here for March.
2006!!!!!
They never did say which March anyway did they?!

that was a little cringeworthy, i must admit.....
I have, and will probably always have, faith in t.tech. Richard is a great bloke, full of enthusiasm, undoubtedly very qualified to produce such a car, but I cant help but think he has been taken by surprise at the interest in the new car. This, in my own opinion, seems to have led to som basic errors. It's ok saying we will release the X10 in March, but to then basically re-design it and cause over 6 months worth of delays has not helped anybody. But still, I will have a conversation with Ian and hopefully, Richard next week, and return here with renewed vigour for the project.
My biggest complaint is the apparent lack of concern for the missed deadlines, and the VERY limited communication being voluntarily published by the company.
The car still looks very, very nice though!

I'm with you Chris, but my "serious" racing season has finished now, only fun events left now. I don't want it to sit in the garage all winter waiting for next year....
