I thought it would be nice to start a thread that lists electronics setups servo/receiver/ESC that work in the X10. So here goes... Servo: JR 9000S - A little heavy, but fits perfectly without drilling new mounting holes. It is insanely fast with plenty of torque. Ultra high end so it is somewhat expensive (approx $115 USD). Receiver: JR RS310 - Fits nicely between rear servo post and right-rear corner of chassis tub. Antenna routes nicely out of receiver to the antenna tube. Small, lightweight and synthesized FM 27 or 75 MHz (may be other freq. specs in other countries?). The RS310 is relatively affordable for a high end receiver (approx $75 USD). ESC: Novak GT7 - Fits standing up with wire harness resoldered exiting the 'bottom' of the controller and on/off switch routed out the 'top' of the case. See link to photo in post below... ---------------------- 'nuff said, MX4

In my X10 i have a KO-Propo PDS 2344 Fet Servo. LRP Quantum Comp 2 ESC. KR-301F Receiver. Team Orion Atsushi Hara 12x1 V2 Motor. (Much More 25mm x 25mm x 8mm 5volt fan to keep motor cool) This all fits in snuggly. Anybody use a Personal Transpnder in there X10 and if so where do you put it.

Can you post pictures of where and how you've fitted your fan?
Cheers

Will do Northy. Will do it on monday. The fans come with a plug that fits in receiver battery slot. Fits easily, slightly on an angle to the motor.

Got the GT7 to fit with a fair amount of work. Had to change the direction of the wiring harness and route the switch out the top of the controller (can't really see switch mod in photos). Looks odd but works fine. I upped a couple of photos for all you visual types. Find them here: bis.midco.net/yokomo-mx4/misc/X10/GT7_in_X10/Since these photos, I added a Lexan 'gusset' running up the side of the ESC and down to the servo case to give it a bit more stability. I drove it for the first time today and was quite impressed ... more on that later ... on a different thread. 'nuff said, MX4

Anybody use a Personal Transpnder in there X10 and if so where do you put it. I'm going to. I'm thinking it will have to go on the body somewhere ... maybe the front window (windscreen) area? Since I mounted the GT7 'oddly' I might be able to put it right on top of the servo...hmmm. 'nuff said, MX4

Do you find the GT7 upto 4wd? I know alot of the English Team drivers were having trouble with them (i.e. melting them and blowing them up!).

why did you mount it like this ? why not just flat on the servo ??

Do you find the GT7 upto 4wd? I know alot of the English Team drivers were having trouble with them (i.e. melting them and blowing them up!). I've never had a problem with the 3 GT7s I've owned. I think there was a time when the GT7 was having some bad runs in the quality control area and those were more prone to meltdown. I usually run 10-12 turn motors and have never noticed the GT7 even get warm, much less ker-splode. But then again, it could be you English drivers over gearing ;D The GT7 has never let me down even when the weather hits 100 deg. Fahrenheit. why did you mount it like this ? why not just flat on the servo ?? It simply would not fit flat on the servo. It touched the body much more than I thought it should. The servo I am using is a bit 'thicker' than some so that did not help the fit. I'm quite happy with the electronics layout. Once I shorten the wires up, it will be quite clean. I do think, though, that the MRT MX controller Chris has is the mutts for the X10. I don't think there is any other speedo on the market that could fit so perfectly. I'd buy one if we could get them in the US. CRIKEY! I can get one in the US ... direct from MRT apparently and only about $188 USD make that $162 shipped (somehow had VAT in first figure) which is VERY attractive for a high end speedo... Northy. Sent a picture to Chris to put up on forum. Changed angle after 2 races yesterday due to motor wires coming off. New position a lot better.

Cheers strobeX10. YoKoMo-MX4, what about the LRP Quantum 2 or Nosram Dominator Evolution? They fit very well also!

Cheers Chris. Wonder what a Brushless system would fit like in an X10?

I dont think it will - my brushless esc (novak one) is way too big

I think the only ones that may fit are the LRP and Nosram brushless setups. The Mtroniks and Novak brushless ESC are way too big (or is the X10 too small for electronics)
