What colour is your Motor clamp and disk? I've seen a few different ones now, both of mine are silver, I've also seen black, and a grey one.
Any ideas why they are all different? I prefer both parts to be black to radiate heat better.

I've got a 'grayish' mount with silver disk on the racing chassis ... the mount is not really black ... maybe charcoal would be a way to describe it. I don't recall what the other kit's mount looks like. I'll have to check it out.

I think the differences are probably just from different production runs. Anodizing can be a hit or miss thing under the best conditions and if mounts were done in various batches and/or by different shops a variance in color will most likely occur. It seems to me from what I've read that the parts production (particularly the machined alloy items) for the X10 had a good deal of problems with respect to tolerances and quality from the 'out sourced' machine shops. I think that is one of the reasons the X10 was delayed so long...
