I think over here in the UK we are so used to cars and products being reviewed favourably (on the whole) at least a little if not extremely favourably. (To sell magazines + cars+) How many reviews in RRC have you seen the ed's bit and 'RRC reccomended' - Did anyone see one not recommended ? It's a shame the Pred struggles at times in the US, think how big Cadbury's are in the UK at making and selling Chocolate, can they crack the US ? I think the car will have good reviews here in good old blightly because we've loved it so well over the years. You only have to read comments in later race reports (after the car was withdrawn) or in Racer's unofficial obituary from some time ago to see the affection with which most people hold the car. I hope it said how well it went at the race's , I'm sure the UK reviews will draw attention to the car's past history, almost unmatchable success in off road racing in UK, Europe and the International scene.

I know only a little about the pred, the history you refer to i asked from mr.weatherly but I guess he is a very busy chap.. If i get the info he promised ill add it later, but i got the important stuff and concentrated on what the x10 is now.
I think most reviews would be more glossy than mine but I have no one to impress, I tried to be honest about it, knowing i might face a little flack from the pred die-hards. I think the pred has a bright future and i really look forward to getting some photos of it in action next year.

Nice reveiw oople.. very well done.. As i still don't have a pred, it makes me double think, as I am no prfessional drive that is for sure.. BUT.. I am still very impressed with the pred and I think it is still on my list.. the top of the list that is..
I also read the RCCA review. It wasn't so bad like Darren says... now that being said.. it wasn't a typical loving review that you find in mos tof the mags for any vehical... so i guess it was a little unfortunate. Now, In Petes defence, not that he needs any, I have recently had the opportunity to publish reveiw in a new Canadian Magazine, and it is hard to be honest and not rip the product apart at tthe same time..

can anyone tell me if i was overly negative about the car in my review ? seriously, im getting some pressure about it but i think i was quite fair about it, it isnt perfect so whats the point in lying ? I did think it was a good car, and even better on the track and i thought i made that clear.
Have i put anyone off it do you think ?

Hi Jimmy your report was fair. I don't think your report has put anyone off. the only people who would pay this much money for a kit are people who know what they are getting, ether they heard of the car or they had it at some time.Would you pay 600 bucks for a car made by a company you have just heard of or haven't heard of until now, I don't think so, I know I wouldn't. If the company is putting pressure on you, I can understand why, they want to sell the car to as many "new" owners as possible(I.E. people that have not had a pred before). their problem is that once bought that kit will frustrate the owner to the point of putting the car on the shelf and leaving it there or bleating to anyone & everyone how bad the car is and how he got screwed bla bla etc.etc. Either way the company will lose/not sell as many kits.not a good scenario for T.Tech. I just had an Idea, How about If you do a follow up article/report on the X10 AFTER all the hop ups and fixes. This way everybody can read it and see how good the car CAN be (the way we all know it can be), and who ever is giving you grief will be silenced. What do you think Jimmy, A win Win situation maybe.

Its a good idea, like cooper said the car is already for sale, not a statement on the car, its just the way i have to do it to review them, i cant afford to keep the cars.
But, now i have a legit home for updates and photos about new parts (the review pages) i can see whats going on at the regionals and nationals and add any info / setups etc later even if i dont personally have the car any longer.
Having said that, i might get another pred some time, just at the moment i need the money for the other cars.

The review does not deserve too much criticism, in my opinion, but i can see why people may be upset with it, but all that has been outlined above.
after looking at the review again, the only bit that I think is a tad unfair is the animated gif that illustrates the movement of the spur gear - I really think that over emphasis the movement, but that is me being picky.
All together a good review - maybe this is why RaceCar or whatever it's called, always says the car they have just reviewed is the best in it's class!

Yeah, i was trying to illustrate "possible" movement and how the spur can possibly move in a hard landing, maybe i made it look like it moves easily, which it doesnt at all.
Much more hassle and i might just take it down and forget about it.
