in the next week to ten days, there will be a couple of new/updated/improved parts for the X10 available from T.Tech. These include...
Stainless Steel steering link Pinion Collars to stop the drive pinions breaking new silicone "o" rings for the shocks
keep your eye on the t.tech website for more news.

What if any parts are "free fixes" to owners ? The guy i just bought my pred off said there was this new steering link that was being sent to him and that he would pass it on to me when it arrived... are these other bits something i should buy ? my pred is built but not run at all, shocks are already a bit leaky.. the rockers also touch, ive seen some do this and others not, why ?? I got the pred to strip/rebuild and review it for my site, which im still thinking about wether i'll do it or not for a few reasons. It seems hard to get a response from ttech or is that just me ? l lovely car tho, i have to say.

Hi Jimmy,
Sorry I was going to answer your email last night be was busy making a new steering link so I can race at the weekend! ;D
I've already changed my orings, as the standard ones not only leaked, but caused a lot of "sticktion".
Rockers touching, mmm... As far as I can make out most T.Tech bits are moulded without holes and are then drilled on some sort of jig. The old gearbox tops used to be very bad for the two rocker pivot crank holes being drilled at different angles. I used to order a few, pick the best ones, and send the others back! They do seem much better these days, but not perfect. Shim the rockers up a little, that should cure it.
Geting a reply to an email to Richard is a bit hit and miss at the moment as I think he's traveling alot promoting the car. Best to ring and talk to someone.
Cheers
G

I was trying to blag a shell, ok i admit it, ;D, but im well used to being ignored. whats the ordering off the website like, is that gonna be ok ? I'm cheap enough to sand my wing to take the paint off but the shell is too complex so i'll have to get one. so its the gearbox top that is (or might be) wrong rather than the rockers? interesting.. thats a bit of a poor do isnt it..

Jimmy,
Phone the parts hotline and you'll get them next day. It'll probably be Ian (or Gavin now maybe) that answers the phone, they are clued up and will be ablre to help.
We can have a chat Sunday if you want.

I managed to bend the mild steel one i was using on Sunday (it was a massive off though!). Just asked T.Tech to send me out a stainless one, but there are not many left so if you want one get in there quick!

Has anybody ordered and received the Pinion Collars to stop the drive pinions breaking yet. Broke Front and Rear yesterday at Tivvy. Not at all happy. Not Cheap to replace.

looks like chris his solution isn't so bad at all! Yes...i have been thinking the same. Looks a little brutal, but the ball cups pop-off before anything breaks, and most marshalls can fix them very quickly too. Saying that, mine have only popped off once, and that too was a big, big moment!

Not broken mine yet - car has done about 15-20 runs using mainly a 12 double - not overpowered and plenty fast enough for my club and the track we race on. What winds are you guys running to break the pinions? I know the collar isn't the ideal solution, but at least you won't break anymore pinions!

A drive pinion was broken (not by me) up at Durham at the weekend with the pinion saver ring fitted to it! I personally don't think they should have the groove in them as thats where they break.
