Thanks to Ian for getting all the new parts to me for last weekend at Southport, even if it did mean fully rebuilding a car I thought was ready to go on Saturday! ;D ;D
What can I say, the car was awesome before but it even more awesome now if that is possible!
Carbon Chassis - Wow! I was really amazed how light it is! And stiff! I showed it to Chris and Jimbibble also and they though the same. With it fitted the car felt really responsive but also safe. Probably what you would expect from a stiff chassis - totally consistant! My car is now less than 30 gramms overweight, much less than it ever has been.
V1.2 Alloy Rocker Cranks - These were really good at Soutport, the extra droop really helped on the savage Soutport track and the car really hugged the turns, mid corner grip was awesome and the turn in was so consistant!
72 Tooth Spur - Well, a spur is a spur, but it always nice to have some extra confidence with it being stronger. Not that I've had any issues with the original spur.
High Clamping Pressure Motor Mount - This is a really nice machined piece of kit, it just looks so cool! It also helps cooling too with it being in heat radiating black, and it does clamp the motor disk very well.
Protoshock Bearing Washer - Mmmm, silky smooth dampers!
I love my X10! ;D ;D ;D

I was amazed how much stronger the new chassis actually is, and so much lighter you can feel the difference in your hand That new motor mount looks cool, and its functional not just another bling item like other manufactures!!!!!!!! Shame I couldn't stay to watch Well done all the same Later Jimbbible

Hey Northy I like the "35" & "50" you wrote on the gearbox tops, nice way to remember your weights, good one. Now look here, you can't go posting stuff like this & with photos... Man, now I want all of these goodies as well......LOL.

Northy, on the front, did you have to mod the gearbox top to get clearance for the relocated pushrod attachment point? or is this a new mold of the gearbox top?
I was fiddling around with swapping the pushrods to the underside of the 'old' rockers (for more droop) but I'm fearful of chopping on the front gearbox top to gain clearance.
Your thoughts?
'nuff said, MX4

MX4, I just chopped the box! Just use a dremel, you'll be amazed how much you can take off. Did you also see the tape covering the holes that I use to inspect and add a little grease to the gears? LMAO Bigboss! ;D The new parts are way coooool! I've been writing the oil weights on the car for years, means I can remember something else in that memory location! ;D G

Am sure when i swapped the push robs over with std rockers that it didn't catch on anything...... however that was when i had something else built wrong!!
What do you find the difference is with the rods on either side?? f i remember correctly, it makes the front of the car feel much softer. also more droop, but there are other ways of achieving that.

It made the front a little softer and made it turn in a little more! I can never get enough steering! I'm a sleeper for it! ;D

Just chiming in here for some info on the New Rocker cranks. How are they different than the older ones? are they extended slightly (screw holes further out on the arms) or angled differently to give more droop? I saw some and they looked identical length, etc. to the old ones when I held one of my stock ones up to it. Any info is appreciated, thanks in advance.

The hole for the pushrod is slightly further forward and slightly further out.
They are different, not by a lot, but it doesn't take a lot.
They make a huge difference to the car.

but one chassis more rigid not door greater breaches on the machine? why in incident case it absorbs very less
also I use the same attack of the push road but with the crank old

Northy,
On your X10, are those the Rocker Crank Pivot - L/W low profile versions? and is that why you have to shave the gearbox top so they will clear or is that all custom fabrication?
Do you use any limiters in your front shocks to control the amount of droop, if so what mm of limiters.
Thanks!

Yes they are the low profile ones, but they are the same length, they just use a screw instead of a nut.
No limiters in the shocks, I adjust the pushrods for the amount of droop I want.
