I don't know it's on the TTech website, but it's a bit hided in the news section.

why? For the n00bz! Actually I'm guessing it might be in preperation for those that choose to purchase the 'transmission build' option, which I think TTech is offering now ... although I don't know why anyone would bother with this... ;D 'nuff said, MX4

I think n00bos might dissassemble the whole rear end to get acces to the gearbox (remove rear plate etc etc) and not through this method

I for one think its great! I always removed the entire rear shock tower, arms etc. to get to the differential! I am sure that not everyone here knew this little trick, but it can only help! Now...if there was a quick way to do the front.....

Lets see... remove the front wing remove the nose cone remove the screws on the rockers for the shocks flip car over remove two rear screws remove front long screw remove 2 screws holding on front plate remove hinge pins unhook steering link unhook ackerman arm
As opposed to: remove lower rear screw remove 2 hinge pins remove 4 gear box top screws remove motor mount securing screw
thats a whole bunch more steps! and - if you have to change out the front GB top, then you still have to remove rockers, remove rocker posts, remove bearings, etc!
Then - you have to file down the new GB top where the bearings go in so you can put them in flush - thats why I have one already assembled! - still, I wish it were easier. I can do it in about 5 minutes carefully, but the rear GB is sooooooooo much faster!
