anyone used "XXX" brand to replace the kit ones?
probably the only item the car needs now in it's kit form as most other manufacturers seem to be fitting them to their competition spec cars

To be honest I prefer to use clips as then you know both sides are exactly the same.

i like threaded shock bodies, they are a nice way to adjust the shocks, but i do agree with graham - with clips you know the sides are exactly the same, as with threaded shocks, you can end up a mm or 2 out.
but, if they became available for the X10, i would get some, just because i like the look of them!

I would prefer threaded shocks to be honest, the clip shocks on the pred are driving me mad big style.
I seriously considdered using some from one of the touring cars, fairly sure they could be made to fit. However, it wouldn't really be posible to use them on the rear because you have the pre comp spring and plastic spacer betwee the 2 springs. The plastic has to ride on the body, which it wouldn't be able to do with threaded.
