never had this failure before on my Pred's from the XK5 to P8 M3 clevis kept link rod kept on slipping of the link rod. It was fully threaded onto link rod with nut nipped up and heat shrunk here’s what happened, clipped a corner with off-side front that required a slight trim to steering. 2 more laps and front wheel landing on off-side front wheel front upright broke repaired and next run tagged 2 cars out of a corner that had come together @ approx 5 mph. no steering. Link rod to clevis had parted company put clevis back on link rod and could not remove it by pulling, neither could another person. soldered up joint in clevis pin and reset trims. Next run it parted company again so borrowed clevis from X10 owner as shop on site had neither link rod nor clevis in stock. Guess what it came apart again Had to run ***4 to make legs 3 & 4 count for the A final. But that’s anther story. Anyone else had the same prob and how did you fix it? I’ve heard Tom Yardy has a mod so have emailed him for details.

I found that the clevis itself is not true and that the threads are eccentric meaning that with a tug to one side you can pull it straight off. I'm not surprised that soldering did not work the unless you used a bucket of fluxite and a gas torch you would struggle to get a clean join. I use an aero clevis which i superglued into place. However the quality control in manufacture for the clevis is poor and most are unusable, if you have a store nearby that supplys spares for aero modelling ask nicely if you can lool at every M3 clevis in stock till you find a good one.

I'll let them know about your findings

I carefully squeezed mine wit a pair of pliers prior to installation, and threadlocked it. touchwood, it has not proved problematic yet.
