Hi guyz. Recently i bought my x10 from someone from this forum. So its a second hand car. I noticed that the chassis number was not installed on the front wing. Is there anyway that i can know my chassis number? I wanna know cause i wanna join the x10 exclusive forum. The original owner said it can be found somewhere at the front gearbox but its not there Send a few PMs to the owner but no reply so i thought u guyz can help. Thanks (EDIT by Cooper: changed title for easier locating of information)

no - the chassis number won't be found on the front geabox.
if it was one of the first 250 (more than likely) it should have come with a carbon plate with the chassis number inscribed on it. This plate can go on the front wing as a sort of brace, but I know of no-one that uses it. The previous owner should also have given you a serial number on a black credit card sized id card too.
The only way you can get the chassis number is to ring T.Tech and tell them who you bought the car from, and as long as it's in the first 250, then they can give you the details you need.
Once you have them, you can buy the carbon ID plate, but I don't know about getting hold of the ID card as well.
Who was it that you purchased the car from?

another successful conclusion then! ;D
it might be an idea to post onto the new owner your card and id plate, so he can have the complete package with the car - it will help him if he comes to sell it too!

This car is awsome the first time i drive it. Handles the jumps very well and seems like it has wings. Very satisfied with it. Accept that my track is very bumpy and had loose sand when very dry. ( I live in Asia and the climate is wet ) The sand get into the spur easily and its unpredictable when going through bumps and ruts. But hey every car has its strength and weaknesses right? Wonder what i can do to improve the situation? What are the difference if i get the new rocker arms and pivot? And does ttech have them in stock? Cause i dont see them selling the hop-up parts in ther online store. Thanks P.S ( Man! I love this site. Tons of tips and the guyz here are all very helpful ) Two tumbs up!

the new rocker arms and pivots are basically lighterweight, but the rockers offer more droop on the front of the car, which may well help you on your bumpy track.
as for sand getting into the spur gear....no idea why that has happened. The spur gear should be reasonably well protected from the ingress of dirt by the bodyshell.
If it continues to happen, you could always use some excess polycarbonate from a body shell or whatever to make a dust guard around the spur, i suppose

Thank you about the rocker arms. Anyway just now i went to my track again and after 2 packs i found out that the right front arm is wobbly. Upon inspection, i found out that the pivot pin for the rocker arm that go through the front gearbox was very loose. I could'nt tighten in and its still very loose. Is this a common problem? What can be done? Any solutions. Appreciate all answers. Thanks

Not common but normally caused by overtightening the rocker pivots. Easiest fix would be a new gear box top but if you put some plumbers ptfe tape around the threads and screwit back in that should take out some slop. then apply a small fillet of super glue around the the edge of the pivot where it meets the gear box top.

Not to contradict Pro4, but I have another suggestion. It happened to me a few times before, I used epoxy glue on the threads,of course, but also around the hex of the pin just for good measure, & it worked every time. didn't come loose even after an "upside down crash" (when the car lands on it's roof & the nylock nuts dig into the track surface - ouch ). best of all if you need to replace the G.B top for any reason all you need to get them out is a pair of pliers (squeezing while turning the pliers works best) and the stuff breaks off nicely & cleanly. ;D. I have not tried the super glue route so I can't comment on it. hope this helps.

Despite superglue sounding permanant it really isn't, one twist of the nut driver and it will come off without damage.
