Into my final week of packing and moving stuff into storage, and my god i didnt know i had soooo much stuff and things i dont really need and ending up putting it all in black bin linners.
Anyone wants some 6 month old 17" Rims with little worn low profile tyres to fit cars with 5 nutted axles? No nuts!! .. Just pick it up and go..
Ohh and i for one will vouch that moving is very stressful, for me as im an organised freak take that little more time but i do move fast when i know what i need to do. Even so im really underpower here, i could do with 5-6 people helping me. But friends and relatives are either on holiday elsewhere, sick or just plain busy ... Ohh and theres the leather sofa which i need to get the double glazing people to knock the double glazed window (BIG!!!) to get the sofa out of the house then have them put it all back.
Only yesterday at B&Q i called for a minicab company to send me their largest vehicle to deliver me my hardboards made of MDF measuring 8x4feet (6 pieces) only to be let down when we measure the 7 seaters cab interior and found it couldnt fit. So there i am in frustration as i got stuff that i bought but cant get it to my house. So i do the next best thing and wait for people who own transit vans and beg them for some help and that ill pay them, after asking 3 people with no luck i was starting to contemplate that ill have to ask B&Q to hold onto my stuff till the following day so i can get the ride i need but just before i gave up i asked this eastern european guy said to him my plea to get my stuff home and how desperate i was and how i was prepared to pay him £20 and he to my surprise agreed and i felt like someone pulled a big knife out of my back. I was thanking my lucky stars that night and took down a nice pint.
It still surprises me how you get help from people you wouldnt normally expect it from, and ive always know that in a hundred people you ask there will always be one that will say yes!!
