Hi, everyone.. Yes, i am totally new at this site, and I´ve joined here because I am going to be sharing a common interest with you, being the Predator. I have a passion for older RC-cars, e.g. old Tamiyas, Kyoshos and others, and with this in mind, a friend e-mailed me today, saying that he would like to make a small donation to my collection, but what it was, he didn´t mention. Then this afternoon i called him on the phone, trying to find out, what his "donation" might be, and guess what.. Yes, a box fulle of Predator parts and bits, in fact, there should be parts for building 2 complete P8 buggies, ( I believe he said that the modelname was P8?), including no less than 3 different chassis types with different battery layouts, and lots of other spares, sp i am looking somewhat forward to recieving the package from him, hopefully tomorrow.. On top of all this, he also stated that this particular car that he had been running very few times, were the last kit ever built by Ttech, but that might be something i am going to ask you about in this forum.. Are all the cars/kits numbered, or what??.. Well, that is all for now, but i will be back with more info, (and questions) once i recieve the car. And by the way, sorry for my use, (or misuse) of your language, but i am now 32 years old, from Denmark, and i has been quite a long time since my last english lessons in the public school.. Cheers... Michael / gozone racing

you are really a very lucky chap to have that donated to you! ;D
The T.Tech Predators didn't have chassis numbers attached to the, but they all had names etc., such as the XT, 95 Pro, International, Mitcham, XK95, XK98 ETQ and P8 (in no particular order).
The interesting idea with the predator was that all new parts/upgrades would be able to fit older models, allowing you to constantly evolve your predator to the latest specification (a lot of people are hoping the new X10 will keep that tradition alive!).
It sounds very much like the car you have been given has "evolved" through time, if you have such a collection of parts and chassis available to you. The bits weren't given to you by a chap called James Smith were they?
Keep coming back to the site, as it is regularly updated, and I have a good collection of manuals to upload in the next couple of days, so you can see how they go together properly!

Hi chris... No, i am getting the cars and bits from a friend here in Denmark, i it is very interesting, the way you explain that the one car could keep on evolving through time with constant upgrades fitting the same car.. It will be vey interesting finally to discover what lies deep in the dark box once it arrives. And be assured, I WIIL come bakc with probably loads of questions later on.. So until then.. Cheers... Yeah, see if you can beat Cooper in the amount of pictures you take on one car, since you got around two you should be able to surpass his tally. I dont think ive ever seen a person take so many pics of a car in such fine detail as cooper and its either cooper or his car thats so vain? ;D lol.. Ive got so and so amount of cars and my pics dont even add up to coops, go figure?! Ohh and welcome to the pred.co.uk site Gozone

Digital photography rules dude ;D ;D i'll make some fresh ones now when it's totally OK...with battery strps, Tekin wing stickers and battery's mounted and when the GM sx-9 comes, It's a small esc and it can fit between the battery's and motor, so i'll have a lower CG. but first I have to drive to germany to buy it (cheaper)

haha but not everyone has a good digicam ;D or enjoys taking pictures like I do. And the pred is just a good object to practise photography on (that crappy TL01 or schumi fireblade aren't special enough LOL) sunday I have a race and maybe my mate will take action photo's. I'll upload some new pic's then. And my Teddybear doesn't allow cars in the bed so...

Hi again, and thanks for your replies.. Yes, i have a pretty OK camera myself, and i too like taking pictures, so i might totally overflow my own website with Predator-pics. So far, there are only about 10-15 cars in there, but the reason for that is that i am not especially clever when it comes to the field of computers and homepages, and therefor i have to rley on my personal computergeek, who´s time unfortunately is somewhat limited, and therefore i also have to live without daily updates at my site... But if anyone likes other cars than the Predator, please feel free to drop by and leave a small notice in the GB.. Thanks... Michael

In reply to the 'chassis numbers' bit of this thread - the first carbon tub cars DID have Serial numbers (just like the new X-10) so the Predator, Predator XT & TTech 95 Pro had them all affixed to the inside of the tub.
From the International onwards there weren't any more serial numbers, so there probably won't be any on your cars unless they're carbon fibre tubs with bolt-on gearboxes.

So, now the box of Predators have finally arrived, and what a lot of things.. There is definetily need of a thorough cleaning, as the cars are nearly covered in dust, both from storage and also from running. As i see it, there are 2 cars, more or less complete, however there are lots of spares, so it should be quite easy to make at least one respectically looking racer. There are also several bags of brandnew parts that has never been put on the cars, probably, thay have been bought in anticipation of the original ones being destroyed. 5 bags of brandnew front and rear 5-spoke rims, and also a bag with what seems to be a brandnew centershaft, (propeller-shaft?). Sometime i will look through all the parts and the included original instructionbook, and start some kind of restoration, and since they are never going to be run again, i won´t have to worry about setting up the chassis, nor the suspension. However, i will have to purchase a set of new tyres, as most of the rims came without tyres, probably, thay have been completely worn out.. What a funny way, tha adaptors for the wheels have been designed, with only one small notch to fit in an equally small groove???.. Well, i just have to get on with it... I will bring you updates, as the restoration comes along, and also, if í find myselv in desperate need af tips as i go along.. Cheers... Michael
