:)Which steering servo do most people use, I've fitted a Hitec HS645 metal gear steering servo, it's a little slow but I'm on a budget. Is this servo o.k., do I need something quicker and if so is there something at a sensible price?

I am currently using airtronics 361's. I usd to use the FUT S9550 L.P servos, but the 1 plastic gears proved to be a big problem.

Your Hitec one will be fine - i have used them for years, now my son has them in his cars and they are still going strong.
Personally, I use a Futaba S9550 digital servo in my X10 - its the same width as a standard servo but much, much shorter allowing me to fit the ESC behind it!

That sounds impressive Chris - can you show us a photo? I use an old KO 713 which seems fine, albeit budget.

:)We us the Futaba S9550's in our touring cars due to limited space but unfortunately the buggy budget doesn't have sufficient funds for me to buy another two of these. If you reckon thE 645's are o.k. I'll stick with them until the new year.

My Servo/ESC installation as promised sorry about the picture quality, but i think it shows the installation well enough. Thanks to the rotation of the shaft, and the air it displaces the esc stays cool too - it has never yet overheated! (I bet it does this weekend now I have said that! )

Pretty trick install I've decided to hedge my bets for now and see what Brushless throws up over the winter. I assume you'll post a photo of your new water cooled 'super install' pretty soon? Nice

I will certainly be posting a picture of the TCS install as and when it arrives, and i will also report on my findings with it too, so i will get some benchmark figures over the next few weeks off the Motor in the X10 now (a 13x2 - it's plenty for our indoor track) and my 19t motor too. Both are the V2 variety.
