blew your speedo...... I was talking to roger and he said that a number of brushless esc's went pop yesterday. Saturday for me was a good day - i have never ever raced outdoors at bury before, and i didn't practice on Saturday either, so round one went by without a decent lap, 2 and 3 were progressivley better, and round 4 i was bang on the pace (for me) and was chellenging all race for 5th until an off at the top end put me down to 8th, cos the marshall didnt see the car crash. Final was a good race, put in some good laps and thoroughly enjoyed it, although I finished 8th again. I didn't see Tim Wood either!

Mid south and chilterns 4wd round 2 for me, 2 X10's in the A Simon Reeves was one of them. Simon tried hard but had to settle for fourth in the end i think.
Ellis stafford even went out and ran his new losi 2wd in one round, it is a twin deck carbon plate chassis with the motor mid mounted, i saw him being given the car by a certain chris doughty at last weeks regional. i am guessing the car is a 'special'. the chassis was extra narrow with cells mounted like a durango 4wd. If anyones interested in this i will try and grab a picture at the next round.
I broke a shock mount (the one on the rear upper wishbone), on my warm up lap for round 1, spent the next 2 rounds running silver rear springs, which i eventually changed for blacks instead and finally was setting a good time in round 4 when i dumped on the split lap........... Pole in the D for the third and only other pred there. Came out of the first lap in the final with a four second lead, got nervous and through it away on the double, got marshalled and came back from last to third. Good day got sunburn.

I've not heard of any such (Losi) beast on this side of the pond. Are you certain it was 2WD and a Losi? 'nuff said, MX4

I've heard of it, but never seen pictures...... It's proper top secret, the usual photographers have been asked not to take pictures of it.

Sorry guys thought more people were aware of it. Getting a photo might be tricky, the funny bit was watching doughty trying to work out how the top plate fitted on the chassis when he was talking to ellis and george land (from helger, uk losi distributer) Still only 2 about that i know of. Uses standard front suspension components. I would guess it will be at the next national. Was very quick but then it was driven by ellis

As far as I know the cars have been floating around for a while (indoors even), but were not raced (to my knowledge) at Kiddy, so can't see why they would be a Tivvy.

Speaking of this Losi 2wd, I have seen a couple of versions but it seems to be getting well known about now. Ellis had one at tiverton, hidden away.. wouldnt show me, so all bets are off gonna hang around his tent like a bad smell now.

ahh, the losi 2wd prototype....makes me chuckle this does.
how many people slated the Fireblade for being a twin deck chassis, saying that it never worked because it was not a "tub" chassis.
I can't wait to see people's reactions if/when Losi release a twin deck chassis and it starts to win races. I wonder if people will then realise that the fireblade actually wasn't such a bad car afterall!
It certainly had the best gearbox for stock class racing after the traxxas trx, or whatever it was called.
Obviously that is just my opinion though.
