Hi there, firstly i cant believe ive come accross this site...youve done a great job, I have 2 predators, International (used and out of action due to no spares) and a new DTM. I havent raced for 5 or 6 years but thought i would have a look on the net to see if there was anyway of reviving my sick predator! Then i came accross this DTM which has never been uesd...im aware that getting spares for that will be impossible but can anyone tell me if any other wheels are compatible with predators? im sure there are but cant be sure. Also what width tires does the DTM take, can I fit Schumachers on it? Is there anyway of getting any spares for older predators in general? Will some of the X10 parts be compatible, eg suspension parts (specifically the front)?? Hope somebody can help me with those, nice to see there are so many predator fans still around!

curiously enough, getting spares for the DTM is not impossible. I have some brand new spares for sale, not many but some.
welcome aboard by the way!

I also have many old (new in bag) spares, some for touring cars but mainly for off road, so you should be able to rebuild both your cars!
What parts do you need?

wow, im impressed...apart from needing spur gears and pinion gears, i would be looking for: front wishbones rocker crank mouldings
in a perfect world:
driveshafts (front and rear) front track rods and push rods assortment of screws and ball joints If you could help me with any of this for my off road set up I would be extremely appreciative, I would also be interested in any DTM spares you have if you are looking to sell them!
Many thanks in advance

those items that you need for the off roader can come straight from an X10, BUT I think I have the correct pushroads for the off-road. I will check this evening.
as for the DTM, I have wishbones, crown wheels (white) front hubs and outdrives all for the touring car.

Drive shafts are not the same chris, I still have 1 front and 1rear NIP drive shaft, the 'universals' the ones used in the International kits, so not the BUD's like in the X10 and some previous versions.

Jonathan, Are you wanting to keep the car standard? Or do you want later bits on it? It depaends what your going to do with it. A shelf queen would be nice in standard condition, to race some of the newer parts are better. I can't work out what parts people haven't offered yet What do you still need? G

Ok, firstly thanks for all your help! If someone could clarify which new X10 parts are compatible (not in exact detail) that would be helpful. Am i right in thinking that the new diff is not compatible...ie all the talk of tamiya gear conversions...? I really do need new diff crown gears! are any parts of the new diff compatible? also the propshaft assembly/slipper clutch? There seem to be less versions of the ball joints on the ttech store than the ones i have ( i think i have 3 types) any ideas on that? Ive acquired wishbones and hopefully some driveshafts, are you saying that i can replace my rocker cranks with the new version? i dont really want to be drilling or modifying the chassis or gearbox housings if possible. In an ideal world id love to keep to original parts but i appreciate thats not always possible...and they do upgrade them for a reason (i see the rockers are now alloys). So...the parts i really need to replace are: rocker cranks diff crown gear and less urgently: track rods/push rods with ball joints (can i use the new ones?) Sorry for the long message, thanks again Jonathan

jonathan, for the gears I can be short: do you want to run it ---> tamiya/TC3 or X10 gears do you want to keep it original--> don't run it X10 transmission is not compatible with older models, even the prop shaft assembly is a bit different. (you'll have to change everything--> 150 -> 200 pounds !!!!
I'll give you an answer on the other questions when I've got some more time (this evening) so I can explane it enough!

Chris still has some crown gears, but no pinions I think. Like I said in my previous post, the X10 gears/diffs are only compatible if you change the whole transmission. I think the only thing that is still the same is the diffscrew. Yep, on the versions before the International, including the international. there were 3 ball joints: - short - long - strong (on the homepage you can find/look into the international manual) Now there is only - long and Bullet - The bullet ball joint replaced the 'strong' version because this one is MUCH stronger. For the TC there was even an extra ball joint. The Bullet Ball joints also use the M4 tread and they are not compatible with international and previous. more about this further in my post with the XK5 and later: all the arms ball joints, carbon, (chassis: XK98 and later), rear gearbox top, wing mounts the front end is only interchangeable when you replace multiple parts at the same time. (drive shafts, wheel hubs, bearings are nOT compatible) international and previous: eeeuh.... the rear upper arm some ball joints, the carbon parts (except front and they don't have same dimensions though) that's about it I guess.... I'm not sure about the rocker crancks because I don't have an X10 but I think they are not because X10 uses a bigger bearing in the rockers so for your International there is not much from an X10 you can use (those long ball joints are ok) if you want to keep it original. Even if you want to change your wishbones you need just more than only wishbones, you need a M4 thing instead of M3 and Bullet ball joints. Everything is possible but it forces you to upgrad emultiple parts at the time and that is expensive. Old style wishbones and wheelhubs are still available sometimes on Ebay (and I sended you a new pm ) I Hope this helps! Cheers, Coops
