Hi Pred People,
Which threadlock compounds do you find are good to use and compatible with the plastic in the kit? My usual one (Loctite Nut Locker) appears not to be plastic compatible so I'm loathe to use it..
Cheers

when you say "not compatible" what is it doing to the plastic? Is it just not working or is it damaging the plastic? I use threadlock that I get from Halfords. It's a general threadlocking compund, blue in colour and smells nice. Infact, the MIP threadlock looks and smells exactly the same, which to me is a point of interest! (i have no life outside of this hobby!) The Halfords threadlock only provides a good "key" in the plastic, and allows the screws to be easily removed from both metal and plastic, without them simply vibrating loose. A big plus point of the Halfords threadlock over the MIP one is that the Halfords option is far cheaper, allowing me to stock up on spares for my X10!!! ;D

Just going by what it says on the side of the Loctite 242 container, 'Not recommended for plastic parts'. It's probably fine - just that I had paranoid visions of all my wishbones etc, melting away !!
It's also blue by the way!

242, AKA "Smurf juice" should be fine. I used 222 last night when rebuilding mine, but would have used 242 if I'd had no 222. All these numbers...... G
