screw it open and take the springs out, cut a small part off and reattach the springs, the'll be stiffer at your own risc ofcourse

Coops - sounds fine, but can I ask if you've tried it yourself? I understand the principle just curious as to if it actually works Cheers

theoritically it works, I did the same in reverse for my transmitter (soften it by stretching it out) the theory: a spring is a whole bunch of windings. The force on that spring is absorbed by a winding so if you have 500 windings and 500Newton force, each winding needs to take 1N. if you cut half of the spring away each winding needs to take 2N. So you made your spring stiffer same with the springs from your car if you cut them shorter they'll become stiffer.

Yes, I'm a professional Engineer so I understand But sometimes you can't beat trying it for real - and I guess that's what I'll do with my transmitter ;D Cheers mate

Screw method. Works well. I didn't notice the screws initially, think I might need glasses That would also explain my driving issues ;D
