you would certainly be able to get it into the Pred with a little imagination - some people at the club have been using the m-troniks brushless systems, and apart from some issues with "cogging" on the earlier models they have been fine.
just make sure the one you get has the 540 motor with it.

I don't think you'd be able to use the motor at a BRCA event, but not sure if you care.

You should check the size of the controller before buying, I didn't see any sizes on that site, space is at a premium on these cars. never the less expect cogging issues from a controller of under 90 amps (continue), Simple rule of thumb is : the higher the amp rating the less cogging you get. the best thing is to find someone with the very same system you want to get & ask him for input & a lap or 2.
