well! as you might know (or don't know) I made the conversion for the old cars to use Tamiya gears in it. well now I want to make it even more simple, use X10 gears but without replacing the whole transmission. And you can help me with this (because I don't have an X10 or XRS) What I need is: 1 broken(or new) pinion gear 1 crown gear it's no problem when they're damaged, it's just for fitting them and making measurements. I'll pay you shipping costs if you want so if you would like to donate me these pieces i'd be very very thankfull! greetz, Coops

the big problem you will find coops is that the X10 diff is close to being indestructible - i don't think anyone has broken the gears yet!

well.... so I must do this on my own! but I need the help from you guys who've run the pre X10 versions.
I'm going to order: 2 pinions 2 crown gear gear collars spur 2 Bearing Flanged 6x12x4
I'll just use old outdrives etc and put the new crown gear in it, next step will be dremel the chassis I guess...
next step is to dremel a 1mm piece of that 'thing' on the one way and rear coupling that slides between the pinion lugs. (you know what I mean I hope) because the new bearing diameter is 6mm and the old is 8mm
install pinions
shim everything out
BUT
I need to know some things before investing in this... is the diameter of the pin that goes into the pinion still the same? is the rear coupling form the X10 longer/shorter than the old P8? or is only the part where the pinion slides on different? (like I hope it will be)
thanks in advance!

Coop, the inside diameter of the steel pinion is 3.99 mm, I just measured it. I don't have a P8 so I don't know if its smaller or not, or if the coupling is longer than on the P8, sorry.
