Okay, years ago (XK5 timeline) I had quick release wing mounts from tecnacraft, a company that used to make titaniu, bits before lunsford. After doing some research, I found that there is a comperable wing mount (quick release type) that soles the problems some people are having with the lexan mounts (I only had these problems before doing a modification recommended by Mr. Weatherly. Anyhow, YOKOMO makes Q/R wing mounts that are used with .065 wire, and I used the Associated super wing things (blue alum) to mount the wings to the wire. What I notice it did cure was: no more broken wing mounts, no more trying to unscrew the 2 boltsa that secure the wong mounts at an odd angle (The bottom ones). I also HAD to use the JC HD wing, as the YOK mounts move the wing lower, and I found this decreased forward traction on straightaways. The HD wing compensated for this. I also think that the alloy adds bling to the ride, while also adding some weight, which helps the car in the air.
