Chris: Do you know exactly what the difference is between the Brush and Brushless motor plates that makes them specific to each model. Shouldn't you be able to use the Brush version with a brushless motor and vice versa? I don't own a brushless motor, but both motors install the same way or is it a motor diameter difference that causes problems? I am just wondering, I mean if I were going to buy one and had the option to use one on both style motors or one that would work on only one, I would opt for the one that could be used on both. In a word no. but as coops said, the brushless version has a little something that actually cools the ESC as well as the motor. I would have thought the diameter of the cans would be the same though, so they don't fall foul of various regulations?

well, you gotta test the system at all angles... ;D shortly after this, i did a barrell roll and landed it on it's wheels..... my youngest son tried to copy his dad too... surprisingly, he actually drove this off the wall and back down the ramp. very impressed. my eldest son tried it too, but nearly got banned from the meeting for landing on the marshall

Hi I’m new to this forum, have recently brought a X10and then found this forum. I will be getting back into racing shortly.
Just one question if you don’t mind me asking, where did you get the long bossed pinions from, I have difficulty trying to find them on the net.
Thanks

hi graham
I got the pinions from DC Racing - he had to order them in, but it took less than two weeks, which considering i ordered at Christmas time was pretty good.
I order between 15 and 23 tooth pinions - that will easily cover all the motors i use!

Just a little update on th TCS..... been running it indoors, on an 11x2, which was geared as i would gear a 12x3..... (new reedy kr motor badges as a 12x3 but with an 11x2 armature in it! ). it has been used for probably 15-20minutes worth of use on a variety of indoor tracks, and around my front room for about 5 minutes with lots of short burst and brakes being applied (braking before i dented the skirting boards (again) or knocking the coffee over (again) or hitting the DVD player (erm, again) you get the picture) I was expecting to see the comm all black and burned as they usually are in kr's after a little use.....how wrong was I? the brushes look almost new with no discoloring at all and the comm although I skimmed it, would definately have got another 2 races out of it, maybe even 3, so not only does the comm seem to be lasting better, but the brushes definatley are.
