Hi guys i've been out of rc's for about 6 years but now have decided to come back and have a bit of a play again. i've started where i finished (well i had a DTM now got a streetwise) i got most of a cars worth of spares too which is good. One thing that i am a little concerened about is it has the plastic dampers on it and they look like they are leaking now i could always re-build these but i was wondering do any alloy dampers from other cars fit?
thanks

I am not sure if there are other dampers that would fit correctly, although i am sure that you will get some to fit, if you see what i mean.
You may as well have a go at rebuilding them, and see what happens....it will certainly be cheaper than buying new shocks!
APEX models (are you in the UK? Didn't Check) sell a variety pack of rubber o rings that will go someway towards helping you rebuild the shocks.
Welcome, By The Way!

they look as good as any other shock for the money- do you know off hand the actual length of the shocks on your car now?

i know what you mean about that!
for those shocks you have seen on ebay, I would guess that the adjsutment range is only 4mm, obviously with 58mm being the shortest measurement....
I would guess that you would be able to mount them on your car I would say, but would the suspension movement be sufficient?

I think the shocks used on the touring car Preds were the standard Pred shocks with limiters inside, so X10 shocks should fit.
The straps were used on many schumacher cars, Cat2000, EC etc, but you could use the X10 straps also (or XRS).
