Did you cure this Graham ? I finally picked up my X10 today, isn't a large part of this lack of steering down to the new front wing design ?? Compared to the old wing the new one is resonably narrow at the ends and of course is only a curved piece of polycarbonate. All the old Preds ran with the undertray and then later with the additional strip of polycarbonate flap attached to the upper surface ? Even though it's smaller, doesn't it create a bucket load more grip than the new one ? The only other thing I can think is, looking at the surrounding p/c around the front wing before it's cut out would it be possible to cut the front wing straight across on the front edge rather than a dihedral design ? That would pass more air over the upper surface towards the lip just wondered, I haven't run outdoor off road for eight years, went to on road lol ;D

Peter, I've cut my front wing out as you suggested, as big as possible.
I think it struggled the other week mainly due to lots of polished floor, York hasn't been like it since so I don't know if I've fixed it.
I think the real reason is that due to the low centre of gravity of the Pred there's virtually no chassis roll, so the car doesn't create mechanical grip as any other car would. Obviously this is great on grass or similar.
Will have to see, I'm playing with other things now! ;D

I have been running my X10 on Astro.. At the weekend I found removing those internal limiters out of the front shocks made a whole heap of differance. also I tend to run the car with no 'o' rings on the front one way!!!

I'm only guessing, looking at the wing last night again, you could even leave a 'barn door' on the rear edge? like a gurney, small or large there's lots of things you can do with the new front wing depending on how it's cut - I know it looks cool small ;D I'm sure Richard's tried a few ideas, shame they're £4.60? a time Incidentally, do you remember me from yesteryear I used to race in the North East when we ran MG motors etc - Are you now an F-1 driver now ?, a list isn't published these daysis it ? Never made it lol F3 was my limit, I think if I go off road outdoor, it'll be club level or maybe a regional if I find time! Had more success in Tamiya Eurocup, not surprisingly on a nice flat track

Purple rear springs totally transformed my X10. I think the kit rear springs are too soft.
I also changed something on the front suspension for the final last Saturday night, which I liked the feel of, but somebody ran off with the results. The guy who runs the club is emailing them to me so I can check out if my lap times were better.
I might take a picture if you ask nicely! ;D

I don't know if I should. ;D
I'm going to get a proper set-up thing to set toe-in properly on the Pred.
