Well, the 1st major strip down has started, and I have some tweaks and mods planned for the car that I'll let you know about (and take pictures) in due course.
It didn't really need it, but as its the first NE indoor regional this coming weekend I thought it was as good a time as any! ;D

I have not used my car enough for it to require a major strip down. I would be horrified if you found anything worn in there though.
The only thing I need to change on the car are the O rings for the shocks, and to try the car with the front suspension "limiters" removed...
I am keen to know what it is you think needs modifcation though. With the exception of the steering link that I have modified, I cannot see the need for any other mods to the car....

Chris, I'm not expecting to find any nasties at all, but you know what they say: Proper Preperation Prevents Piss Poor Performance! ;D Plus I'm used to it, I've owned a Pred for years remember. I needed to take it apart to do some of the mods, so might aswell do a proper job.

Well, I've added another bearing to the Prop shaft at the rear, put a hole in the top of each gearbox top, and made a steel steering link so far. Anyone want some pics?

Why would it cause more wobble?

Why would it cause more wobble? well it came because of the holes, I had to drill them out, and nobody can do that 100% accurate. the pinion was to fixed and the gears weren't 'loose' the drivetrain was no free enough. I also dropped it so I could slide the prop shaft more deep into the pinion (which are shorter) But for the X10 transmision I don't think it will cause problems, just check though! install it without gearboxtops, spin it and look. Install the tops and see if it's just as free as without them (this wasn't the case when I tested it on the tamiya gears) 8-)But you're mechanically skilled enough to know this ufcourse
