I haven't received my X-10 yet but was wondering how hard it would be to convert the X-Drive hubs of the Predator to 12mm hexes like on the Kyosho ZX-5 or other touring cars? The reason I ask is because I also have a ZX-5 and it would be great if I could share wheels between them.
Thanks!

chris - good to have you on board, number 101!
anyway, I would imagine it is easy to create wheel hexes, if you have the right tools. Not so easy to do by hand. BUT I am not sure of the diameter of the stub axles on either car - maybe that will pose another problem for you?
saying that if the wheels are mounted on hexes, it wouldn't really matter as long as you secured the wheel on with a big washer as well, as the hexes create quite a solid mount.

I should have my X-10 tomorrow. I'll have to check it out and see. I didn't think of the stub axle diameter, but I would have to guess that they would be close. I know some Tamiya and HPI 12mm aluminum hexes are a clamping style, maybe they would work better if the diameters vary.
How are the X-Drives held in place? Are they a pin through the axle and the the X-Drive is pressed on after that, all being held in place by the wheel nut? I couldn't see any detail in the manual.
Thanks.

they are clamped in place by screwing a grubscre onto a flat area of the stub axle.
tip:- don't overtighten, but use threadlock an get them just tighter than the initial "pinch"

I know someone who did it before to fit Schumacher wheels, so shouldn't be a problem.
