Hi everybody, The Pred is my next project,i'm now saving some cash prior to buy it but the clue is:What kind of motor is the most apropriate for this project? I'm building R/C cars since 1984 and in the last three years i've moved to Brushless everything i've in my "Pit". As i've seen around the Forums this car is a project that keeps developing through the years,i've never seen one on the Track so i don't have any idea of how it performs.Thats why i'm thrilled about it,it make me feel as a Newbie again, not only that,it will be the first car that i'll race after 16 years and i care to have it allways ready to go for racing or just to test tracks . My willing, and hope ,is to set up the car with the proper power,to make sure that i'm not gonna stress it to much and avoid trouble waiting for the spares. (as i've seen around the Forums it takes a while to get'em) Besides all of the above,my plans ,before i started to read the Forums, was to set it with a Novak BL 6.5 Velociti. What kind of spares and hop ups are suggested to get for a first buy?

one (of the many) good things about the X10 is that it is designed for competition. Because of that,, especially with the current X10 kits, it is very unlikely that you will put any undue stress on the transmission, even with the "hotter" modified motors.
As for spares, maybe in days gone by spares availabilty was an issue, but currently the spares backup is as good as any other car out there. Having said that, I have no idea where in the world you are, so you may have some issues with getting spares if your country does not have an importer. But, it would be advisable to buy a race spares pack and perhaps a couple of gearbox tops and crash pins too.
The car itself does not need any hop ups with the exception of a spring tuning pack, and once you have that, you have all the tuning opportunities that you need.
