Hi mate,
you'll be fine for the time being with the included pistons and springs, but the tuning pack is very useful.
as for shock oil, I use whatever I get, no preference really between Schumacher, Associated or Losi. The good thing about losi oil though is that it comes in half weights, such as 27.5 or 32.5. Saves having to mix up different oils to make those up.

It looks like my first race in anger will be indoors in the NORTH OF SCOTLAND, the track will be carpet with jumps and bumps i beleive.With your knowledge could youplease give me a set up to start with, also tyres iwas thingking SCH mini pins yellow or silver also as it is indoors I was going to pyt in a new PEAK 19t DYNASTY that ihave can you please suggest a gear ratio my reason for 19t is first I have it but mainly as I beleive it will be smooth and there fore save me from crashing and there for get a beter time. Thanks the service here is JUST GREAT, MARTIN. P/S obviously you know some thing in regard to next project may be it is smelly

Setup for indoors can be found on the X10 setup sheet. if you don't have one, you can download it from this site or the T.T.ech site.
As for tyres, definately yellow mini pins all round. I use 2wd fronts on mine, and cut down the width of the front wheel - i find that really calms down the steering.
Peak Dynasty 19 double should be geared on either 15 or 16 pinion with the kit spur gear.
