Hi, I just purchased my first Predator and I'm having a little trouble with the rear gearbox. No matter what sequence I tighten down the rear gearbox cover bolts, the transmission starts to bind. I've narrowed it down to the 2 screws diagonally opposite each other, the top left and lower right looking from behind. If I leave these 2 screws half a turn loose, everything is fine. Is this common or have I assembled something incorrectly? The front diff has been set with same amount of endfloat and goes together without a problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Mine had a similar issue. just check the chassis moulding isn't interfering with the outside edge of the crownwheel, file it if needed. If in any doubt you could try smearing a thin layer of grease on the outside edge of the crown gear and looking to see if it rubs off upon the gearbox housing thus indicating a conflict. Al PS Until you finish the transmission and put the wheels on, you don't get a true impression of how free the transmission is! I think you'll be pleasantly surprised when you've overcome your current binding issue..
