:)Hopefully my ageing eyes should be able to pick this out on the track - - as you can see I've got plently of room for improvement in the hole cutting department! It'll be a shame to spoil them both but we got them to use rather than look at. I shall also be ordering a second spring kit so I've got some silvers for the rear of mine.

:(Chris, No I havn't loaded them into the gallery yet as I don't know how. I did sneak in the question of how to do this on the end of a previous post on this thread but you obviously missed it, if you can tell me how to I shall do it. Thanks.

I have not found a reason to use the silver rear springs yet......

:)Northy, I put the silver springs on the rear of my sons XRS as the setting sheet that came with the car suggested them for both fresh and rutted & worn grass. As this is our first time with EP powered buggies I was using the recommended settings to start with. I still need to order a second spring set as there was only one pair of each spring in a kit. Which combination or front/rear springs do your usually prefer?

I haven't found the need to run anything other than the silver spring on the rear.................................................
ok, that's not technically true. Silvers are the hardest current springs - the ones i run are actually slightly stiffer!!

I run the kit rear springs almost all the time, I like the rear to be planted.

finally ran my xrs last night. with most people laughing at how many spares i gona need. considering i aint raced for over 2 1/2 years what a car it was, just need setting up now. only used a 19 double indoor(teeside small and tight track). only problem i found is that it doesnt like jumps, seems to go nose down straight away. any ideas why?

The pred does tend to nose dive as the cells are at the front of the car, saying that, the car is very sensitive in the air and you will find that if you just give a slight touch on the throttle when the car is in the air you can even the car out nicely.

yup just blip the throttle in the air, and the car should level out....

I've driven a XRS today! and wooow that thing is awesome!
also noticed that the setup for flat carpet surface doesn't use the pre comp. springs! The guy used associated TC springs and I must say, it wasn't that bad! ;D

:)I'll second what Cooper has said, we had our first days racing today, outdoor on grass at our local club Coastal at Ipswich, and the buggies were AWESOME! I had 2 DNF's due to not listening to the advice of another XRS owner and threadlocking a the metal to metal screws. I would love to see what these can do in the hands of a more capable driver. Brilliant fun and so glad that despite a delay in getting ours I waited and didn't go with the Losi XX4. From what I saw today they're quick but fragile, broken wishbones, shock towers etc.

:)The XX4's seemed fragile but perhaps its because there were so many of them it just appeared that way. Only problem I had with mine was that I hadn't done as suggested and the grub screw on the right rear wheel drive disc came loose and one on the steering. Unfortunately I lost the one for the steering in the last race. A small drop of blue threadlock will be applied to all appropriate screws tomorrow when I strip, clean & reassemble both buggies. My sons didn't have any mecahincal problems whatsoever, obviously tightened his screws better than mine!
