:(I'm just in the process of building an XRS each for my son and I and I'm having trouble building the shocks. I've tried to assemble them as per the manual but all I get is a piston that when you push it in does not come out. With our TC cars (Tamiya) when you fill the shocks with oil, and then push the piston in, they smooothly glide back out again. Does anyone have any idea as to where I'm going wrong?

I have a little rebound on mine....but not all that much- saying that I am using older P8 pistons in my X10, so that may well be making the difference.
As long as you build your shock as per manual, and they all feel the same when you manually pull and push the shocks in and out without leaks, you will be fine.

I have just finished building my XRS and i had exactly the same problem but the shocks seam fine once they are on the car. On a side note which pistons came with yours? as mine came with 4 1 hole pistons. Also all for of the springs seamed the same to.

:)Ours also came with 4 one hole pistons, I'm assuming that any alterations are made via the weight of oil & spring rate. Ours appeared to have the same springs but when you actually put them next to each other you should find that 2 of them have six winds (counting top to bottom inclusive) and the other 2 have 5. It's hard to spot as they are all black!

I think the XRS comes with other pistons because it has other rockers (old old old style) if you upgrade to X10 rockers also upgrade ,your pistons!
(not 100% sure but I am 86.3% sure)
