Hello, I recently buy a Predator XRS, it's a very nice car (I already have an old predator touring), but I find the same old freak steering system. I think about a new one that not bind supension. I'm happy to my new one, so I give you the result. As you can see, the steering arm is twisted when the suspension full travel (try on yours pred). If the direction is full right or left, the lower suspension arm touch the steering ball joint on the steering arm. That seriously limit the suspension travel (try on yours pred). The counterpart I made give me no steering arm twsit due to the ball position. My part give more suspension travel when the steering is full left or full right. A pic of the part The other good point : - Ackerman is adjustable by adding washer between the direction arm and the ball pivot. - The front wheel take less toe out when suspension travel (more stability when braking). If I want toe out when I brake I just add washer under ball pivot of the front end. I hope that little modification will enjoy you.

Looks like a good job, but an upgrade to the X10 spec steering would have been easier for you!

Very nice, I like the way you think, original too. Welcome, by the way, to the board.

thanks for the congrat , I hope you had a Merry Christmas. To Chris Burgess, if you have a X10 or a XRS with alloy steering arm, I invite you to try something : - put full steering on right - then try to full travel the left suspension The ball joint will hit the suspension lower arm When your steering is neutral, and you apply full travel suspension, your ball joint on steering arm will twist. That's why I made my steering arm like that, just to minimize parasitic effect of steering when the suspension travel.

:)We've fitted the X10 steering upgrade to our XRS's and there's no problem with the steering on neutral. Although the suspension touches the ball joint with the steering turned fully right and the left hand suspension on full travel I think you may have missed something. To get to this point I think my chassis would have already bottomed out on the ground first?

On a bumpy track with a lot of hole, it make a little difference, but your are true, it's not the case on a lot of track.
