When I first built my X10 diffs I set them up as per manual, but when I used the car for the first time they slipped. I tightened them up, but after a couple of heats they had loosened again. Any tips? Am I right in thinking that if an adjustment is made the threadlock will need renewing?
Cheers

hi, i use threadlock on screw. There is a thread on here by RW somewhere, and he suggests the use of tyre glue on the nut! Personally, I used threadlock on the nut, and I have not touched the diff since I built it last September. Maybe it's time I had a look! Chris

It used to happen to me until I got it right. Now I use thread lock & a drop of C.A. on the nut side as soon as I find the diff is to my liking.

In the past, for example on XK98, there was two "spring washers" between the head of the screw and the first washer of the thrust race. These spring washers + flat a little the thread of the screw with an pincer a the opposite side was enough. I have raced 2 years and never notice any problem of diff coming too loose. Is this solution could be applied to X10?
