no, not the sanwa. it's small enough but it has only 32 Oz/In that's not powerful enough to handle the gyro effect of the front wheels at full clap. I looked around a lot b4 ordering the servo. this one has 70 Oz/inch MG & dual bearings, digital too. After I check it out I'll post my findings. I wouldn't want anybody to try it based on my recommendation without checking it out first. The company that makes the servo is one that I have had bad experience with in the past, so I want to make doubly sure it works (that's why I don't put the name and model in here yet).Oh yes there is another servo that might be good for this, I'll call it "plan B",but I have little experience with that company and they make airplane servos mostly, so ...let's just say it's plan B for the time being.

OK here is an update. Today I've finally had a test run of the novak GTB+5.5 system that I've managed to cram in the X10. To remind you this ESC is quite heavy so I thought in order to keep the C.G. as low as possible it would be imperative to mount it as low as possible (I.E. on the chassis). To achieve this feat the servo needs to be smaller in seize when compared to a normal servo. After looking at what was on the market I found a likely candidate : Hitec HS-5245MG (4.4Kg.cm or 61 Oz.in & 0.15sec/60deg at 4.8V . this gets better at 6.0V, It's also digital so it should center better.) One hole was needed to be drilled through the chassis for the servo mount. The ESC now sits behind the servo, and the receiver sits on the servo. The car has SOOOO much torque it's very hard to drive without changing your driving style OR the car's setup (my planed rout), It seems to be under geared as it has the same top speed of the other X10 on the track which is running a gtx & 12x2 but is much better behaved compared to mine (new gold or silver springs at the back). Mine seems twitchy or on edge most of the time (again setup change will settle it down). The motor & ESC are barely warm so that's good news. The servo seems to be up to the task(touch wood), but time will tell... Pics to follow when I get the chance. Later.

Hi all First let me say that Hitec have done it again, to me that is. I'm sorry to report that the servo gears have striped themselves after only 1 day at the track (yesterday). I went there today to see If I could get the car to hook up a little better seeing as it was not raining, didn't even get through a the first battery pack before I noticed the car not turning too well to one side. I Took it off the track and tried to move the servo horn while the power was still on.....It moved, darn Hitec servo stripped it's gears, what a piece of work. Oh well, I suppose I could bronze it & put it on the trophy shelf. Unless I find a better company that makes a small servo with enough power, I'll have to mount it like northy's GTB, Or go back to brush type for the time being.
