Ive yet to see a sensorless BL system that does'nt cogg, and so the last thing you need when coming out of a corner in a race is the stuttering effect normally associated with that kindda system.

No, im not all too familiar with the latest Gen of sensorless BL system, i had one of those Modeltech (anyone remember those?) im sure if Dave G was here he'll agree with me that after trying that system you almost certain never to try a sensorless system ever!!! Perhaps they have found a way to make it smoother and coggless, i dont know. But what i do know is that the sensored units are as close you get to smoothness like their brushed counterpart units , correct or update me if im wrong ;D.. ps, sorry about the accidental infringment on your post coop, i simply pressed the modify instead of the Quote, duhhh

Radar - sorry to hear about yer LRP. I guess a brushed system is always going to be 'stronger' as it's inherently simpler.
Cheers Cooper, didn't realise so many choices! Tekin has arisen again? Thought they dissapeared years ago :-)

I have a friend who's running a GM proto system with the genius 90 and a 3.5 turns (!!!) motor in his touring car, I'll ask him about cogging But I doubt he will admit if it coggs.... Tekin is already back for 1.5 or 2 years I think (other people, and they moved and the service is very good!), they have a 1/18th scale brushless system (mini rage) and are now working on a 1/10th scale the 'Rage' www.teamtekin.com

Graham we are allowed to use sensorless motors under BRCA rules? Where did you hear we are not?

The Mamba sensorless system is $250, a Novak sensored system is $235. So, if you want cogging and other various malfunctions, you gotta pay more! I've got a Mamba 25 and I hate it.

LOL ;D I have the novak gtb, and i still experience problems with it.....it occasionally "stutters" on acceleration, but whilst it is doing this the receiver is telling the steering to do anything it likes! (I have changed the profile and re-soldered the motor wires and for the time being, the problem seems to be cured though.)

also I have the GTB but it is large and to make it us to be within is indeed complex!
