I have a pro-trak, but it's "only" version 10.34....mine is going in for upgrade soon, but it doesn't really need it. But i think it needs calibratin correctly, so it's better value for m oney to have it upgraded when it will be calibrated anyway.
The jury is still out on the very best metod to charge metal hydride, some go for temperature detect and others still use peak detect....me I use peak detect.

I have one, but I dont find it to be any better than the cheepie CS Space charger which I end up using most of the time.
Its a waste of time if you buy new cells every year. Never mind in six months time your cells will be obsolete anyway so the fancy re-match functions and discharge curve stuff doesnt make much sense.
Sorry but it hasnt been that reliable for me either.... I cant recomend them.
N.B. the latest ones with the new case are meant to be much improved. I still think you get a more reliable product that does what you need with one of the "big" companies chargers like Orion or LRP or Novak.
Lets face it, if you were racing at the level where it may be of benifit to you, you wouldnt be asking the question, you would already know.. Kind of wish I hadnt bought one now, I could have had another pred for not much more.... bummer.

I am charging GP 37's without problems, but my LRP 37's vented and died during their first charge - more likely to be bad cells than a fault of the charger

Mines v11.00 It charges NiMH using temperature or peak detect, step charges, charges Lipo's and probably fixes my car if i press the right buttons The latest version I have seen is 11.07 which Vermin got last week.

you guys wanna know what will be cool?
Hows bout a pro trak that could be upgraded by just downloading the upgrades through their website that just completely does it all. Instead of the pain of sending it. Im sure it'll bring the cost down of upgrading and will save the cost of buying new units, they could just make more money on the upgrades, where one will have to pay to recieve the upgrades, since it'll be a one time purchase of the unit. Im no electronics expert but im sure rom chips can be reprogrammed? just like when one has to reset the bios chip on a computer or changing the bus speed? ok there might be limitations on how far it can be upgraded but if it can have you hold out of having to buy a whole new unit for upto 5 years im sure from the pundits point of view will make it easier and convenient of owning one?
