whats the take on this then? I know this forum is very much for the off-road predators, but I personally think it's a great idea. Not only that, if there is a pre-order list, I want to be the first to have one. (not that I would ever race it though). So what does everybody else think? (And before anybody asks, www.the-pred.co.uk WILL be supporting the touring car when it arrives, and any other car that the factory produces!)

I don't think it would work, the design should be totally different from the X10 or it won't work on top level.

well, I voted "yes" as I believe it is a good idea, BUT i do agree with you Cooper, that it flies in the face of what is the current fashion of on-road cars, with them being as narrow as possible, and everything down the middle.
But since when has a t.tech design followed the current fashion?
Remember, we have seen no pictures, and we are presuming it is merely an X10 buggy with narrow wishbones....It might be something very different to that.

Not knowing much about the history of the predator touring cars were they competitive and did they win any titles?

I voted yes. I have a "super touring" which is still in semi good shape, I thought it could be raced against the newer cars that are out now (mostly belt drive cars). but after a T-bone which it suffered from a nitro car that was on the track at the time, I have changed my mind about racing it on a weekly basis. I like it too much to put it through that every time an idiot takes to the track. I have others that can be raced instead, but I think I will wait for a new version to come out before running a touring version of a T.Tech exclusively (just from the parts support aspect it makes more sense to me). I'm tired of tracking down parts for the old one.

I didn't vote as i don't know what the car is like but,
Converted on-road cars don't work off-road Converted off-road cars don't work on-road
so it depends what they have done?

When the T1 (Touring Predator) was first released back in the 90's, TTech took it to Bedworth for the BRCA modified national. With only two Predators at the meeting, it was absolutely awesome when they took TQ and 2nd on the grid for qualifying, ahead of David Spashett and the other main men. Also the Predators were the only two cars to go onto an extra lap. A fantastic result for first time out. The Predator then went on to TQ and win every single round of the championship. It went on to win the British Touring Car Championship in its first year. It aslo won the European Touring Car Cup twice. The South African Championship and the Italian Champtionship. I wish I could remember all the rest. But to say I am very confident about the new Touring car is slightly an understatement, its going to be ballistic!!

Oh it will be without doubt. Lets be honest the TTech was the first shaft drive car with that design and we all know that it worked and is still working tc4 pro4 strange how they all seem like the pred

yes but touring has evolved alot! I don't think it will be the top like the Xray and tamiya and ... stuff.
I hope it will work, but we first need to see the design and results before making conclusions.

OK fella i see your point but please note that the TC3/TC4 uses the TTech design so with that in mind it will go fine> I also know a mate that works for a shop that import cars and there car uses the same design as the old Xray and he is going like stink with it and is making a national indoor a final with it!!!! trust me this car will work!!! So with your philosophy it shouldn't work?
