WHAT OTHER PROOF DO YOU NEED. IT WON EVERYTHING IT ENTERED BEFORE AND IT WILL AGAIN. Richard has heard all this before, Quotes like "'it will never work'. 'shaft drive wont work' 'laydown shocks wont work' The best one ' well it might have worked at that track, but wait until Temac'. The Predator Touring car went on to have seven cars in the A Final at Temac and TQ'd and won. I promise you his heard it all before and all negative, good job Richard doesn't listen, just gets on with the job in hand. Designing the best rc cars in the world. Unfortunately there will always be people who think they know better and are eager to criticise, even before they've seen it go. The person who quoted the Temac classic never did apologise. He got severe egg on his face though.

;D hehe nice well I hope it will be as good as you think Gavin, I really do! I was just trying to (can't put it into words) be a little sceptic. Maybe it's just because I've never been a fan of touring cars . I would be proud if it knocked all those carbonplates out !

Gavin is right cooper. If you look back at the TC T.Tech manufactured in the 90's it turned the touring car scene on it's head ! No one could touch their cars on any track, they WERE the untouchables. I should know it happened right here as well (Israel). I still have the "old lady of tarmac", Although Itsik is the one with the trophy & the winning car, two years running I think......memory failing.........oldman.......drible from corner of mouth.......lol. Imagine if Richard does it to them again, only now everyone is convinced belts are the way to go and...... they will get trumped by a shaftie, what a hoot. If you have been in the hobby long enough you'll see a patern emerging after a few years, similar to fashion, first the street weapon had 3 belts, then the jap stuff came with 2 belts(atlas, kawada, yokomo),then 1 belt (xxxs), now back to 2 belts, see what I'm saying? maybe we'll see 3 belts again? who knows? The first shaft car was a T.Tech, All shaft cars are basically a rip off of that car, It's easier to copy a great design than it is to come up with it in the first place. I for one will buy this car without so much as a photo of it before hand, that how much faith I have in Richard's designs. This car will rock, I just know it will. 'nough said I think.

plus, if the x10 touring car can get the power onto the track as efficiently as the X10 buggy does, then after seeing the speed achievable from an X10 on Sunday with a relatively "mild" motor in, then I can't see many touring cars that will be able to out-run an x10 tourer.
which is good.
but I won't race mine.....'cos touring cars are for girls!

I think this car will be the muts nuts !!

With a shortwheelbase chassis and prop too it should be fine I've driven a TC3 and TC4 following my DTMi and they're pretty good cars, if not as exciting to drive as the tourer. I always went better with my tourer than off road, very little breakages, gears to look after and occasionally front upper arms, but a very fast reliable car on the whole.

Cooper i'm with you on this one. I do race touring cars weekly and there are a number of issues with the design and concept if they run with a short wishbone version of the x10. Although if you look at the chassis on the x10 you can see where the extra piece was plugged into the mould which used to be removed for the TC chassis. the main problem would be the lack of tuning on this type of car,
multiple roll centre adjustment options Inboard front and rear toe adjustment, precise camber and castor adjustment droop adjustment rising rate adjustment precise ride hieght adjustment ackerman adjustment too much chassis flex
i am very dull, but i spend hours fine tuning touring set ups to stay competive
i am not saying they shouldn't make one, but it would need to be a very differant car to the old touring car

I'm with you Pro4nut. The changes in setup of an Onroad car are so much more precise, a small change can mean a big difference in the handling of the car. And with the x10 those small changes are not possible. So if there will be a new predator TC it should be a very different car.
