well we drive (and most humans do) at the right side of the road. And we have a rule: if someone comes from the right you have to stop for him and let him turn into the road you're driving on.
do you have the same rule for left ??

Not at all Coop! Here people tend to let no one out of any side roads at all!
Did your girlfriend like York? Nice city I think and only 20 miles from were I live! ;D

they (she and her class) were more on the boat than in York itself, but she liked it yes! weird stuff: pub closed at 1am, and +18 only (no it wasn't a striptease bar  )  and sometimes you had to show passport to get alcohol Oh and no smoking allowed! I like that new law ;D |

Pubs used to close at 11pm!! New laws mean they can open longer now but they have to apply for it. Yeah, you got to be 18 to drink in a pub in the UK, and a lot of places now ask for ID, even from older people! No smoking law hasn't come in yet, but I hope it does soon.  |

18?! Feh! 21 is the age in the US of A ... of course that is the legal age ... not to say 'kids' dont know what alcohol is before then. Why is America so friggin uptight?

16 here in belgium but they rarely ask for ID, the 'no smoking rule' will also come here but like every law proposal stuff in belgium it takes a loooooooooong time before it's a 'real law' (can't formulate in english what I think in dutch...)
