I normally take the same sort of line, and then look at the timing sheets for my justification. My little crash last week cost about £18 to fix. If i had used my xxx4 i would have been short 1x front brace £7.50 1x shock shaft £10 (pair) 1x wish bone £12 (pair) minimum
Amusingly running out door at the weekend before i hit a xxx4 pointing the wrong way, broke the front brace and shock tower

I want to see the Lazer ZX-5 in the mix too I think I noticed Robert Gammon running one in Oople's pics ? The whole Losi thing really surprises me, not many companies would openly admit their older car performs better than the newer one (even though better motors and cells have helped overcome the inherent belt drag) and then the X-5 comes along lol

Not wanting to crash someones thread or go out of topic but id just like to add to the losi thing, that i think it was a very smart thing for them to do. I think a lot of it had to do with their team drivers though more than as a company. They knew they couldnt come up with something too immediately to replace the xxx4 and found that it wasnt any better than the xx4 and so from a business point of view it was better for them to have continuation rather be stuck in their tracks, even if it means they have to take one step backwards to carry on forwards, does that make any sense? lol.. The thing that let the xxx4 down was it crappy handling so it didnt matter how good a tranny you had, all the power you had just further amplified how rubbish it handled. X-5? wow, what a car

Somehow, i think this car would or could be a big hit in europe, with their high traction tracks, this car will be more neutral and little more predictable to drive?

It felt more like a 4wd than a 2wd when I had a go. Had loads of steering though! G

After seing the pics on oople.com of how the production car might look like actually hightens my interest, though i think the body and chasis could do with a little diet ;D

Just recently changed to a Losi that is in "hybrid" form. Basically what the UK drivers were using before the CR.
I've also got some CR parts ready to put on it.

Correct me if im wrong, but it seems the mid motor development seems to work best in the uk? you guys on that side of the pond get equal mention with regards the X-6 (on their site) and the only ones with the Losi car?

Yeah, I think your right about it working better here in the UK, but all the Losi homebrew cars I've seen seem to struggle in wet and slippery conditions, and we tend to get a lot of those here in the UK! Infact, I think I've only been to 2 or 3 meetings this year where it hasn't rained! But, to be honest, the main reason I got the Losi was to turn the box round on it. It's just I like the way it goes standard thats stopping me do it! ;D G
