weight at the back for very slippery tracks.
(alot of B4 setups have lead added to the car.... that's stupid, light is right ! )

Back on topic: I think this chassis mod would only (severly) weaken the fore-to-aft strength of the chassis. I think that could easily be 'fixed' by putting a carbon fib(er|re) brace 'over' the cells, securing it to the chassis at the original battery hold-down screws point and behind the cells at the forward hole of the 'U' plate (don't remember what the heck this is really called) I think it could be done, go for it Coops.
