ignore levels one two and three. start off in level 4. You will probably never use 60% of the functions of the radio, but the traction control feature is useful.
So is the alarm to tell you some one has moved all of the trims just prior to your race!

The traction control is programmable, and it does make a small difference, but I don't think you can change the tone of the alarm.

I found out you can change the tone of the normal beeps... -beeep- or -boop- or -baab-

I've got a Ko Vantage tranny, I didn't get past Level 1. Heaven knows what the Big Boss is like at the end of Level 3, you'd need to be Bruce Lee or something ;D
