yep, lots of problems with the "mySQL" server, apparently. It was "attacked" by hackers over the weekend, and the repairs that the engineers put into place to resolve the issues caused by the hackers proved to be un reliable.
I have been reassured that the server is now secure & stable. Let's wait and see.
