coops - it would of course be cheaper if you just upgrade the front end. BUT you will be missing out on the X10 transmission. I know you have the Tamiya conversion in your car, and i have no idea how reliable it is, but the X10 transmission is close to being bullet proof now! Chris yeah i know chris, If I had to race our nationals with it I wouldn't doubt buying an X10 or XRS but I only drive clubraces and the GP in 4wd ....

I had a good guess at the moulded rockers and steering parts Now the XRS Spec is listed... Is it me , or is there no mention whatsoever of a slipper clutch on the spec list for either car only the one way is listed ? or am I going blind

i dont think the XRS has a one way. does it not say a "direct connection to the front gearbox" or similar in the description?
I know the brake balance is an upgrade part.

The upgrade to bring the car up to one way spec is quite costly, won't it need a new drive shaft, as well as the one way?

unglue the normal adapter (heat it), buy shaft thingy, buy one way and you've lost some money....
not an 'easy' job!

Sorry, I meant that the one way was at least listed in those comparisson charts , I realise it's only on the X10. aha ! I notice the slipper is now listed and is not included on the XRS, this coupled with the new transmission guarantee must mean they're pleased for us to throw everything we can, even at a non-slippered car

I have to ask why you would want to make a XRS to the same spec as a x10? why not just buy two x10s. is it because you want one off every car thay make? if so does it say anywhere on the car it is a XRS?

It now features a slipper and a $20-$30 price hike (see separate thread elsewhere) I was getting a little worried for the guaranteed transmission, though my dad used to drive a non slippered car and didn't suffer too much with gear issues....

hmm.....the belt versus prop shaft discussion......
i don't know what's best, i only know that a propshaft driven car will out accellerate a belt drive car any day of the week, as the propshaft does not stretch, flex or skip like a belt does.
this was very much in evidence at a recente 4wd club meeting, where although it was won by an X5, the shaft driven lazer zx5 (2nd place) was ripping shreds out of it on the straight.
Actually, i am a little surprised that the XRS steering specification is very similar to that of the P8. Taking nothing away from the P8, it was undeniably an excellent car, it's just a move that has surprised me a little.

I have had and run with: yokomo mr4bc 2003 special for 2 years, bj4 world edition run for six month (it does not good to me), and now 1 month with my wonderful X10....bj and this x10 they have need least maintenance it's good!unfortunately in Italy the predator, little it is sold... but I think I am one good machine. it jumps very well, the steering is much sensitive one, the machine feels the made regulations very well
