Just found out that the new Team Driver for T.Tech was at Kidderminster last weekend, and beat Neil Cragg by over 8 seconds with the X10 against the Yoke.
Apparently the X10 qualified 3rd on the grid, caught and overtook Neil and then put over an 8 second gap between 1st and 2nd place.
Then the steering link failed! (honestly)
But who is this man? ;D

I have been running mine off road, (high grip astro) at Stotfold recently.. It was very good, with those limiters removed from the front. Roll bars all round 40wt in the front 45wt in the rear.. Yellow mini's.. Now I have foud a reasonable set up, will keep it the same for a couple of weeks to get use to the car. But will be definately interested in the Kiddy set up. Cheers

Tom Yardy was the man! With this being only his second run with the car!

Second? , the Preds love Kiddy though don't they ? - he will be even quicker once he's used to it ! I wonder how many top drivers are going to jump ship back to TTech or let them do their own thing. I think an 'A' final with maybe two or three Preds beating previous Pred winners would really upset the apple cart and raise a few eyebrows. I'm interested to know who won, if Neil was third? One driver that never jumped over was Ellis Stafford who drove it in '93 and still hasn't driven it since !! He must really hate it but he's tied to Losi / Helger I know. I'm amazed at the size of the first X10 steering links, was there a competition to see if they could match the size of the old metal rod with carbon ? (I know the real story) , I'm sure they'll solve the steering woes and it'll be untouchable.

The steering woes are sorted now, as the steering link is now stainless steel.
Maybe I will purchase a new chassis and steering link when they are available, and put mine back to the correct design.

Hey Guys,
That version of events up there is slightly wrong, I'll give you the full story:
In Qualifying round 3 I set the fastest time of the day, 8 seconds faster than Neil C with the yoke, but it was round by round qualifying so i needed another round win to be pole, and was on for it in round 4 improving my time still further, however 2 laps from home the steering link failed which led to a heavy impact forcing retirement. Therefore I only qualified 3rd. In the final i hit the front after 2 laps and began to stretch away when Neil (in true world champ fashion) put in some stunnin laps to catch me back up, just as the race was getting really interesting, the steering link failed again... still, no big damage this time as it went on a slow corner. The car was amazing though, and I'm really pleased to have joined the T.tech team, thanks for your interest!

Glad you're enjoying you're new ride, Kidderminster's a great track (along with Southport ) and I'm pleased it's mainly just one part that's being problematic, it should be easily solved. It must be nice to be beaten by a current world champion but even nicer to win next time !

I have the set up for you, I don't really have any tips with it as myself and my dad have only had the car a couple of weeks. The track was fairly dry but this set up was on the car earlier in the day when it was damp and was still very safe. For those of you that don't know, Kidderminster is a multi surface track with astro-turf, clay and tarmac included... as well as plenty of bumps!
Here's my kidderminster set up:- Front Rear
Springs - 6.0t 5.5t/gold Pistons - hard/valve soft Piston hole - std std Oil weights - ass. 35wt ass. 50wt Toe-in per side - parallel 2degs Camber per side - 1 deg 2 degs Castor - right back Ground clearance - 16mm 22mm Anti-roll bars - none soft Front upright to upper wishbone - std spacer rear lower upright - upper hole Damper pickup point - middle Tyres - Ballistic grn pin Ballistic grn pin Motor - Orion V2 10x2 Cells - Orion GP 3700 team cells Speedo setting - max Front brake balance - 2 x o rings Pinion - 21 Spur - 73 overall ratio - 8.5

Hi Tom - just one question about your setup.....
do you find that the car "bottoms-out" when landing from jumps with that set up?
the reason that I ask is this:- I am used to driving a BK2 (someone has to ;D) and that doesn't "bottom-out" after even very big jumps, but with the "stock" setting fot the pred, well the chassis slaps the ground after seemingly only minor bumps, and unsettles the car a bit. Not something I am used to!
